Vocational and technical education (VTE) plays an increasingly important role in helping young people move from school to further study or employment. VTE also serves industry in ensuring there is a sufficient pool of potential employees that have completed some type of pre-vocational training.

Given the importance of this role, and recognising the many thousands of students who study sport and recreation at school, one of Axelis' objectives is to develop relevant and useful products and resources to support teachers actively delivering sport and recreation VTE.

In the short to medium term, we hope to bring you a mix of products, including:

• assessment resources

• 'model' training programs (ie. curriculla) based upon national qualifications

• learner guides

• useful topic-based supplementary resources

To assist us, we are currently negotiating an agreement with the Queensland branch of the Australian Council for Health, Physical Education and Recreation (ACHPER). This agreement will see us market jointly-developed materials that will better meet your needs and preferences. We'll keep you up-to-date about this exciting opportunity.
